Daily chess drills for adult improvers
A chess training plan that finds your weak spots — and gives you exercises that fix them.
Everyday Chess turns a rating-banded training plan into a 15-minute daily workout. Tactics, endgames, defense — picked for your level, focused on what you miss, tracked skill by skill. Built for adult improvers rated 800–1800.
Why puzzles alone don't work
Puzzle grinding doesn't transfer
Rush through a puzzle set and you already know a tactic is sitting there before you even look at the board. Your actual games don't give you that hint — you have to notice it yourself, under time pressure, with no one telling you to look.
No plan — random reps, random results
Solving whatever the algorithm serves up next isn't a chess study plan, it's noise. Without a rating band, a theme mix, and a daily target, you can burn through thousands of puzzles and watch your rating barely move.
Your own mistakes are the best curriculum
The blunders in your last ten games are the highest-signal training material you own — and almost nobody goes back and drills them until they actually stick. That's the gap we're building toward.
Your training plan
Finds your weaknesses, gives you exercises that strengthen them, and tracks your improvement skill by skill — fifteen focused minutes a day.
A plan, not random puzzles
A rating-banded curriculum decides what you drill and when — a real chess study plan, not whatever an algorithm serves up next.
Daily exercises picked for you
Ten a day: warmups below your band, reps at your level, and stretch puzzles above it — so every session sits at the edge of what you can solve.
Your misses become your curriculum
Missed exercises requeue until they're strengths, so every workout keeps targeting your weak themes instead of the ones you've already mastered.
Track improvement by skill
Accuracy by theme — forks, endgames, defense — after every workout. Founding roadmap long-term trend charts.
Drills from your own games
Import your games from Lichess or Chess.com and drill the mistakes you actually make — the highest-signal reps you can put in.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a course?
No. Courses are videos you watch. Everyday Chess is a training plan you DO — daily chess exercises chosen by the plan, adjusted by your results.
Is it really free?
Yes. Today's daily drill — ten rating-banded puzzles, your streak, and your progress — is free, forever. No trial clock, no credit card. The paid plan adds own-game drills and extra tracks on top.
How is this different from Lichess puzzles?
Raw puzzles are everywhere — structure isn't. Everyday Chess curates, validates, and arranges every workout: puzzles graded into rating bands, composed into a daily plan, with a streak to keep you honest and your misses drilled again tomorrow. Our sources include the Lichess open database, but the training program is the product.
What level is it for?
Adult improvers roughly 800–1800. Casual, Improver, Club, and Advanced bands each get a mostly-in-band daily set, so you're stretched but rarely stuck.
When does the full plan launch?
We're building it now. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know — and you'll lock in founding pricing (20% off for life) before it opens up.
Why do I have to find the exact move?
In this early version, each drill only accepts the one solution move in our data, even when another move also wins. It's a v0 limitation — at full launch, alternate winning moves will be accepted too.
